in Progress-Length and Health

If you were like me, you thought that black folks just could not grow hair.  Why did my hair never get any longer? It just doesn’t grow. Now of course I know better. Here are my progress pictures. I’ve been natural since April 29 of this year. The first picture is from the beginning of May and the second is from yesterday.

These are both pictures of twists done on dry hair. The first was in June and the second was yesterday. And I know these are some terrible looking twists, but it was my first time doing them dry. I still have not really perfected them. And no, those second set of twists are not shoulder length, I’m just hold my head oddly.

I’m very pleased with the progress. I really think the protective styling has helped me to retain length. I’ve been wearing my hair out a lot lately, I think it’s time to go back to the twists  and coils.

Oooh, that IS some good growth! I should start taking more/better stretched twists pictures – and get DH to start taking them for me – or figure out a pedastal/delayed shot set-up, or something.
