in Give-a-ways

I let my son pick all of your entries out a bag and we have a winna!

Okay – my favorite style – that’s easy. I looove twist-outs :o )

But, keeping why I like them to a paragraph – that will be the hard part. I like wearing twist-outs because they are so easy to do, to care for and they can last for two weeks or more (I actually wore one for four weeks). I usually create my twist-out styles by wearing two-strand twists for two weeks, unraveling the twists and wearing the resulting twist-out for two more. One of the best parts about twist-outs, I think, is that the longer you wear them the better they look. Initially, my twist-out looks really spacey on the first day, but as the days go by with the help of sleeping on the unraveled twists (I use a satin bonnet), and humidity and steam from the shower the spaces fill in and it looks really full. The other good thing about twist-outs for me is that they are great conversation starters. People always stop me and ask ‘how did you get your hair like that?’ – and it’s such a good feeling to tell them that they can achieve the style also because it’s simple to do. You don’t have to be a professional stylist to create a twist-out and they can be worn on practically any hair type/texture. It’s also a great way to introduce people to natural hair – to show its versatility because twist-outs can be worn to the office or just hanging out. Twist-outs are great :o )

Congrats, girl, your hair is beautiful!
