Review:

*The first three ingredients in this product are silicones, so you know what my hair did after the initial application. I’ll say it again for those who don’t visit this blog regularly, my hair doesn’t like cones so I will review this only on how it made my hair feel initially.

I used this the last time I flat ironed. It’s kind of serum like in consistency and I really thought it would be too heavy, but it dried really light. My hair was nice and soft and fluffy.

Did it feel as infused with  silk? LOL I’m not sure that’s possible for my hair! But it was soft and pretty smooth.

I know there has been some debate about whether or not this is a heat protectant. As far as I can see, it is and I used it as such. Here is a good article on how silicones protect the hair against heat:

Silicones Protect Thermally-Treated Hair by Preventing Moisture Loss

It’s a PDF file, just FYI.

Will I buy this again? No. The cones are too much for me. I realize they are best to fight against reversion though and highly recommend this for those of you that have no problem with cones. Also, it’s pretty expensive, though I think Sally’s has a knock off.

This use to be my holy grail hair product! Before I decide to stop relaxing I would buy a bottle of this to flat iron my hair with, I loved it. I still have it on the shelf but I haven’t flat ironed since December and I am not planning on it anytime soon!

same here…matter of fact gave away 2 irons…no more heat for me, therefore i don’t use anything with a heat protector in it

I like it. When I use it on my natural hair w/ flat iron, it gets it straight. Not bone straight or silky, but decent where I won’t need a relaxer. I found 16 oz at Marshall’s & TJ Maxx for $19.99.
Granted, I won’t use heat much, but when I do, I’ll be using CHI.
