Thanks so much for providing a natural site with so much positive and useful information. I was inspired to share my journey with you!

December ’08…my last relaxer…I remember previously thinking every time before getting a relaxer that my hair feels so healthy at the root. I would enjoy the way it had more depth and strength to it than the thin stringy permed counterpart on the end. I’m still not sure why I waited so long, but now that I am relaxer free, I couldn’t be happier! I thought I would be apprehensive about wearing a BC out in public, but once I realized I couldn’t keep my hands out of my head and loved the way I looked in the mirror without the wig, I knew there was no turning back.

I learn more and more everyday about my natural hair, and even in it’s bad moments of being unstyled and without product, it feels good to say this is me, this is my hair, the way it’s supposed to be, free of alteration, camouflage and hazardous adders. It’s more than a style, it’s a lifestyle change.
