Review:

This shampoo bar from KBB comes in two forumulations: Juicy and Charm. For drier hair, Juicy is recommended. For oilier hair, there is Charm. Of course I went with the Juicy. I won’t be trying Charm( if anyone out there has and wants to provide a review, let me know via email).

I’m not generally a big fan of shampoo bars. I hate lathering them up, I much prefer to just pour whatever I need into my hand or scoop it out of a jar. However, I do have to say it lathered up easier than I thought it would. I imagine that this would last long as it didn’t take much for the 2 times that I used it.

This  is not  a product like,  say the Amla Rinse from Hairveda. It does not  leave as much moisture. Though, the Amla Rinse is not super cleansing. The shampoo bar leaves the hair feeling clean but not devestated (that’s the only word I could think of to describe how my hair feels after a shampooing LOL) like with a hard core shampoo. I like it and I think I will keep it in my rotation. It’s not something I feel I can’t live without like a lot of the other KBB products, though.

Hey there.

I have the Juicy Shampoo Bar also.

I’ve used it twice and like you, it’s not something I can’t live without. lol

I’ve used my regular old black soap on my hair and it gets it clean (almost a little too clean) and I think I prefer shampoo bars than the stuff in a bottle. I use way too much of it and for some reason I feel like I can control the amount from shampoo bars better.

I’ll look at this when I do my next KBB order. I can’t see spending $12 for shampoo that not a lot of people (okay, you and Rhonda but that’s enough for me) love. But, well, it’s KBB. So many decisions. Maybe I’ll look at Chagrin Valley as well.

I was just thinking about a trying a shampoo bar yesterday! I even asked fotki for suggestions. You read my mind!! :) I also went out and bought the Ped Egg after your review. I have the smoothest feet west of the Mississippi! Ha!!

lj, isn’t the ped egg the best?

I’m lovin’ those ingredients. I think I may be sticking to shampoo bars myself. The cleansers I’ve tried outside of the Devacurl’s No-poo all seem to leave my hair feeling stripped & “straw-ish”. I still have a bar of Qhemet’s Soap of Alep left, so for real clarifying I’ll continue to used that til it’s gone. Maybe I’ll try KBB’s juicy shampoo bar.
