I really enjoyed this product. I think I came across a sample of this awhile back and ended up giving it away to a friend.  I’ve used it a few times since I won it in a giveaway (see the blog I won it from here) and really like it as both a moisturizer and a sealant. It left my hair very soft and somewhat “sheeny”…like my new word?.

Anyway, it does not give me curl definition or reduce frizz but works well with a gel. I tried it with KCCC and I found that it left a bit of residue, taking a while to absorb. However, there was no crunchiness after it dried.  I’ve also used this on top of a leave in and found the results to be heavenly.

I have to admit that I prefer this balm on wet hair as opposed to dry. Though it’s very similar to honey in consistency, it’s not that sticky once it dries after being applied to wet hair. After applying it to dry hair (two days after applying it to wet hair), I did feel some stickiness especially in the finer hair on my crown. You would think with the consistency that it would be hard to distribute in the hair, but I had no problem at all squeezing it all through in sections.

Will I buy this again? I’m not sure. I have a lot of other products that work as well that are  more quickly available online. I may order it on occasion.

I also love the OHHB and I’m about to order some more this weekend. I use it in addition to the Amla and Olive Heavy Cream and that combination is great for my 3C/4A hair.

Hey kcurly.

I started using this during my transition and it was a life saver.

I reached out to the beautiful EmpressRi on Nappturality.com to get her recommendation on how to use.

What she suggested to me was to mix it with the heavy cream prior to applying.

It is to die for in the harsh winter months and made my new growth manageable during my transition phase.

Thanks for this review. I was just talking to my girlfriend today about these products. She was ranting and raving about the line. I am going to check it out. I do lots of wash and go’s right now and looking to do less. So I may try this line of products.

Thanks

I just started using this, it is an excellent product gave my hair such a good sheen with the moisture. I will try for a twist out
once my hair grows. Just did another order for my
