I've used a few of the LustraSilk Cholesterol DC. I love them all. I am one of those who loves mixing things with my DC. I usually mix Shea butter, honey, evoo and Herbal Essence Hello Hydration into my DC. My hair absolutely loves it! Every once in a while, I add Elasta QP DRP-11 and that's heaven in a jar for me!

@ Kamille: I tend to mix together a large batch (enough to last 3-4 months) so that I don't have to worry abt mixing with every application.

I agree with Maria, Paula. It's a good DC, but not as good as HSR (in my humble opinion). I don't like to add things to my deep conditioners, however, so I won't be doing that . When I buy something, I expect it to work alone, unless I am doing something like a caramel treatment.

Paula, AOHR is a much better deep conditioner but you get less conditioner and have to pay more money.

I actually mix my AOHR in the Lustrasilk container. I also add coconut oil, hemp seed oil and whatever else I can find. I mix it all up and get the BEST conditioner ever. I can see a huge difference when I mix it with other more natural ingredients.

The first time I used this I found it was just too light for my hair, my hair just drank it up. I'm not a mixologist/mixtress at all, but the next time I used it I added honey and olive oil to it. Unbelievably soft hair!

I won't be using it for deep conditioning anymore because i'm not a fan of having to doctor it up every time I want to dc. I discovered it's an EXCELLENT moisturizer/leave-in though.

I LOVE this conditioner! I usually mix melted shea butter, honey, grapeseed oil & jojoba oil in it and leave on for 45-60 minutes. It's the best!

Gotta say, I didn't really like it as much as I thought I would. I mean, it's okay when I mix a few other condish with it, but otherwise?

Eh.

I really love this conditioner. It immediately softens and smoothes my hair when I use it as a deep conditioner. I've even used it as a leave-in to do my twists, and gotten soft, moisturized twists with surprisingly no buildup. I need to get some more!
