Review:
Here begins my journey into PJ land. Yes, this is the first product that I bought while transitioning. I actually looked online and saw that this was recommended for transitioners. It got rave reviews from a lot of people, especially relaxed people I’ve noticed.
It has some cones in it so I wouldn’t use it even if it didn’t suck.
Ooops.
Ok, yes it sucks. This product did nothing for detangling my hair except frustrate me. I almost felt like I was just spraying oily water on my hair.I tried it once more after my BC thinking maybe I’d like it as a fully natural gal. Nope, still no very little detangling help and very little moisture.
As I said, it’s a favorite for some people so maybe it’s just me. My best friend loves it. As far as I’m concerned, the horses can have it back!
Will I buy this again? Nevah!!

THANK YOU. I heard a lot of raving about this product and I went out and bought 2 bottles (Sally’s is having a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale). Um…feels like straight up water in my hair. It did NOTHING for me, no slip no moisture no nothing. I was not impressed at all.
ok seriously??? I used this stuff when I combed out my 5 year old locs and it worked wonderfully. I’d dip the loc in the bottle for a few seconds then I’d comb it out. It made it super easy. Sorry you didn’t like it.
Oh my goodness, I agree. My grandfather had this shampoo once, and I used it out curiosity. It did nothing for my hair. It was like it stripped it completely. Good post!
I am a glam lady sporting a silver tapered natural. I spray and rub into my hair mane n’ tail detangler, sta’ soft fro spray, and a little Lustersilk moisterizer in my hair before picking it out. This combination offers plenty of moisture to my thick mane. My t-i-g-h-t natural curls melt, and when I am finished I wipe thru the hair with a Viva paper towel, just for cleanup.
I love Mane ‘n Tail on 2 of my kids hair. They both have a looser curl pattern. In my daughter’s hair (7 inches when stretched) I mist it all over and finger comb it. I have used it for 6 months now and not a single tear has been shed over a tangle (this is a girl who used to scream if you tried to finger comb her hair with conditioner in it )
However my other son has very tight coils that are 6 inches when stretched (1/2″ when left alone) and it did noting for him.
