Thanks to you ladies who've seen the advanced screenings. I can't wait. I suppose it's more realistic to have her with straightened hair as that's how most women would've worn it.

I also went to see the advance screening in NY last Wed. I thought it was awesome! Disney has done it again. My 6 y/o daughter&I laughed (and she cried) it was great...as for her hair..I think its up for interpretation..watching it I felt like it was natural at some points in the movie. Not an afro but natural nonetheless. Our hair comes in so many different textures...nevertheless the movie is a Must See...must Own!

I enjoyed watching these videos :o) I am not really sure how I feel about the movie yet. I am happy to see that Disney understands the buying power of the Black community :o)

I took my neice to see the movie this past Wednesday at an advance screening in NYC. The music is incredible and the story is sweet. There was a little girl next to me who was about 6 or 7 and she was dancing through out the movie. My niece is 4 and didn't think Tiana was a princess for very long, but loved the movie.
As for the hair, I don't think Tiana's hair is meant to be kinky, afro texture natural. It really appeared more relaxed, wavy.
