On this day, I feel very thankful.
I often think about the times of turbulence in this country during the earlier part of the century. I wonder, living in the deep south, how much my life would’ve been different from what it is now.
I know the difference would’ve been shocking and drastic. I am thankful, not only to Dr. King, but also to the many men and women who marched, protested, and put their lives in danger so that their children and children’s children could live as equals in this country. I have to wonder how many of today’s generation would have the same courage.
Here is a video I found of family members laying a wreath at the tombs of the Kings in Atlanta.
Thank you again Dr. King. I could never say it enough!

I could not agree more! About our generation, I often think well, they just don’t make them like they used to
but then again, it is not until we are pushed, cornered and stretch that we realize our full potential. Our generation might have it in us, but we are just not at our tipping point yet.
