We support an organization called Charity:Water.
A portion of the proceeds from each sale of Kinky-Curly Hair Products are donated to Charity:Water which helps build fresh water wells in developing nations.
Water is the ultimate moisturizer and it is so important to a healthy hair care regimen and even more so for styling curly hair yet many of us take it for granted.
The burden of capturing clean water for most families in these developing nations falls on the women who have to walk miles and miles to get the water and when they do find it, it is often dirty and filled with parasites and bacteria. Then they have to decide whether to use the water for laundry or cooking.
The goal of Charity:Water is to give access to everyone on the planet to clean drinking water. By supporting Charity:Water it is our little way of giving back and trying to make a dent in the global water crisis.
1 billion people on the planet don’t have access to clean drinking water so when you purchase a Kinky-Curly product remember you are also contributing to this great cause and giving back.

Oh wow I had no idea about this! I will definitely spread the word, that is such a great cause. With so many people living without clean water, in the states, water is a privilege, not a right.
