You may remember me oohing and ahhing over a beautiful collection of head gear offered by Virtuous Creations. Well the owner was kind enough to send me a few pieces to try out.
And let me tell you, my fave has got to be this tube. Click here to see the product page.
What a wonderful way to pull back my hair in this hot weather without it being tight and putting stress on my hairline. I was on a nature trail when these pictures were taken and, surprisingly, the tube did not add to the heat (which was sweltering!). The tube is very stretchy and made of a lightweight material that doesn’t overheat. The only thing more I could ask for is for it to be have some satin or silk lining.
I tried it again the next day by using the tube as more of a hat than a scarf (which is pretty much what I did the day before), meaning I pulled it down over my ears a bit and tried to pull it back more over my hair. If you visit the website, you will see that the tube can be worn in a variety of ways. Truthfully, I don’t know that I’d wear it like this outside right now since it’s 90 plus degrees here everyday in addition to the insane humidity. Having something over my ears would kill me. But I did like the look. Here was the result.
Another item she sent me was a unisex hat.
I wasn’t quite sure how to wear it at first. I was sure that the hat on me wouldn’t look as same as how it’s pictured. I just plopped it on my head for starters.
Probably not the way it’s meant to be worn, but I liked it! I then tried to see if I could get all of my hair in the hat…and whaddya know?
I imagine the look of the hat would change based on how you’re wearing your hair under it, how short/thick your hair is, and also what size you get (there are 2 sizes available).
In addition to being happy with the look of the hat, I was very happy with how well made this hat was too. It felt sturdy, though not as stretchy as the tube and made of a thicker material. Again, the only thing more I could’ve asked for was a satin or silk lining, though I suppose one could wear a bonnet under it.
Thanks again to Virtuous Creations for sending me these lovely items to try out!
