Review:

I’ve been waiting awhile to review this product because I wanted to try it in several different ways. My initial impression was that it would be too heavy a spray for me. As you can see, one of the first ingredients is glycerin and the product itself definitely  has a serum-like feel to it. Not as thick as a serum, but just a lot more viscous that water.

The smell is very nice, kind of fruity, though I can’t pinpoint it exactly. Overall, I like it. I used it on my most recent twists (done on wet hair) and loved the results. I’d feared that it would’ve been too heavy, especially coupled with another product, but it worked out fine. My hair was soft and moisturized without being greasy. I did notice a small amount of flaking in one spot.

I’ve used it to remoisturize my hair after a wash n go that felt dry. I also used it on my twists to remoisturize, though I probably wouldn’t need to use this everyday.

It’s an added plus, of course, that this is available locally.

My only complaint is how the spray comes out. Maybe it’s just my container, but it comes out in one long stream. I prefer something more of a mist when using a moisturizing spray. Perhaps I should try another spray top to see if there’s a difference.

Review:

I fully expected to hate this product.  Mostly because I was confused on how to say the name of it, I hate products that try to outsmart me. But I eventually got it: JEALOUSY.

I was sent this product to try and thought: Ok yet another product for a much looser texture than mine. If I’m going to use a styling product, I usually require something heavy duty.

It isn’t heavy duty, but it does the job pretty well. I did have to use a ton of it to not have frizz (but remember my hair is hella thick). I was very surprised. The strange consistency helped me to apply it evenly, something I can sometimes have a problem with when using gels.

There was no crunch whatsoever. My hair dried soft. I had to re-moisturize the next day, so not incredibly moisturizing but not drying either.

It did not reduce the volume of my hair at all. The shrinkage was in full effect and my hair was a nice, curly fro. That may be a plus or a minus for some people, depending on what you want. For me, and for that day,  it was fine.

I can’t say that I’d use this on a regular basis because it wouldn’t be cost efficient  for me, as I had to use so much of it.

Review:

I’m still new to the Curls line, but I’m liking it more and more. First off, I liked that it came with a pump on the bottle. More products should definitily do this and I see that a lot of the Curls products have this. It helps with better product distrtibution and it keeps the product untouched.

This is a moisturizing deep conditioner. Not the most moisturizing deep conditioner I’ve come across, but still pretty good. The scent only adds to the attraction. I used heat with this DC, as the instructions suggested and my hair came out nice and soft.

It also claims to make a good leave in and I also found this to be true. Honestly, this is closer to a regular conditioner for me than a DC, but I still found it delightful.

Curlicious Curls Cleansing Cream…say it three times fast, I dare you!

This is the first curls product I’ve tried and I have to say I really liked it.  It is a very gentle cleanser, non-sulfate, no cones that I can see, and doesn’t strip the hair at all. (I know the old version of this had a mild cone in it, I dont see it on the bottle anymore). If you are looking to clarify your hair and have a lot of buildup, you may reach for something else.

This cream is more for those who are frequent cowashers and don’t want to use shampoo just yet. There was probably a trace amount of lather while I was working it into my hair which was nice. The smell is very sweet, so if you don’t like sweet products, you may want to avoid this. However, the smell didn’t linger after I applied my deep conditioner etc.

The pump on the bottle was helpful and I really wish more products came with a pump.
