Review:

I’ve had this for awhile and use it off and on. Do I just love it? No, not really. It’s something to spritz on when I’m out of anything else or I haven’t made my own homemade spritz lately.

It does nothing for me for detangling, I learned that early on. It does help my twists stay shiny. For moisture, which is what I use spritzes for, this kind of drops the ball. It provides some, but I had to put this away in the winter when my hair was very thirsty. I’m trying to finish it up this summer while I have more moisture in the air.

Will I buy this again? No.

Review:

Fantastic leave in that I found early on in my natural days and continue to use. It has wonderful ingredients and the slip is pretty good.  What’s great about this product that all different types of hair types seem to rave about it. It’s moisturizing and easy to apply.

What I really like about it is that it actually provides a bit of curl definition if I use enough. However, I have experienced some small amount of crunchiness with this product when trying to use it for curl definition. It’s not on the same level as a gel, though and I would never recommend buying it just for curl definition.

As with a lot of Giovanni products, I find that I hate the container and find it hard to get out the last bit. It also does not like to be mixed with a lot of other products such as many gels. If I recall you get the “little white ball syndrome” when mixing it with KCCC. The residue goes away as it dries, but it’s still annoying.

Will I buy this again? Yes,it’s in my rotation

Review:

This seems to be a light protein treatment. I am a fan of protein but even after a strong protein treatment, I still usually need a good moisturizing DC. Not so much with this product though. It left my hair moisturized, spread on easily, and had a pleasant scent.

My hair felt great after use. My only real complaint is that it was kind of hard to get out of the container when I got down to the last bit.

Will I buy this again? I don’t think so. When I go for protein, I like to get a heavy protein. Good product though for those looking for a light protein treament.

Review:

Giovanni once again pleases with this moisturizing conditioner. The slip isn’t just the greatest for detangling purposes, but it’s not the worst I’ve come across. I especially love using this if I’m going to leave in a conditioner (I made a post not too long ago about that).

Do I use this conditioner on a regular basis? No because for cowashing I prefer my Suave and it’s cheaper by far.  I tried at some point to use this a deep conditioner which was a mistake that I recommend no one repeat.

Will I buy this again? Maybe here and there, but it’s not a regular for me.

Review:

Smooth as silk is a great deep conditioner that I have been revisiting lately. I’d been trying to lean towards more natural products, and though it’s ingredients are more natural than most out there, it’s not as “pure” as say AOHSR.

It does offer good detangling properties and provides moisture. The smell is lovely as well. I have used this with and without heat and I definitly prefer it with heat (or at usually with a plastic cap).  One of the best things too is that it is usually available locally, which is always a big plus! It does have some protein in it, so some people may not get along with this DC. I, on the other hand, love protein like I love air, so we get along just fine :)

*Just a note: I heard whispers and rumors that this product may have an ingredient change (ie adding more not so natural ingredients). I bought a bottle recently and it does not seem to have changed, but I will updating if I see that it has.

Will I buy this again? Yes, but that ingredient thing might be a factor.
