I really enjoyed this product. I think I came across a sample of this awhile back and ended up giving it away to a friend.  I’ve used it a few times since I won it in a giveaway (see the blog I won it from here) and really like it as both a moisturizer and a sealant. It left my hair very soft and somewhat “sheeny”…like my new word?.

Anyway, it does not give me curl definition or reduce frizz but works well with a gel. I tried it with KCCC and I found that it left a bit of residue, taking a while to absorb. However, there was no crunchiness after it dried.  I’ve also used this on top of a leave in and found the results to be heavenly.

I have to admit that I prefer this balm on wet hair as opposed to dry. Though it’s very similar to honey in consistency, it’s not that sticky once it dries after being applied to wet hair. After applying it to dry hair (two days after applying it to wet hair), I did feel some stickiness especially in the finer hair on my crown. You would think with the consistency that it would be hard to distribute in the hair, but I had no problem at all squeezing it all through in sections.

Will I buy this again? I’m not sure. I have a lot of other products that work as well that are  more quickly available online. I may order it on occasion.

Review:

I love this stuff. It will drench your hair in moisture. I love the smell, it goes on smoothly and my hair just drinks it up. It’s worked well for me on moisturizing twists, twist outs,  and a dry fro.

I prefer it on dry hair as opposed to wet hair, but it works well on both. I especially love the feel of my hair after putting this on at night, wrapping it up with a scarf and then waking up to soft supple hair. Believe me, this cream is heaven for dry ends.

Like most Qhemet products, you can count on quality ingredients. Since it’s handmade, the shipping can take a bit longer , but it’s worth it. It is a bit on the expensive side, especially with shipping. Finer hair types might find this a bit too much moisture.

Will I buy this again? I’m sure I will, but I’m trying to ration it out because of the cost

Review:

I know this product says it’s for fine and thin hair and that’s probably because it’s such a light product. However, even on my coarse, thick tresses, I still found it to be quite enjoyable.  I tried it first in the place of a leave in for a wash n go. Suburbanbushbabe, a member of the 4a section at NaturallyCurly.com forums always raves about this product for wash n go’s. I used it and have to admit that it smoothed on easily, and moisturized nicely. I did have a bit of residue when using this with KCCC at first, but it went away as it dried. I got a very nice hair day from using this and Hairveda Whipped Gelly as well.

It was great on my twists, though I do prefer something heavy in the winter time. I will probably put this away until summer when I like something a little lighter. My twists were pretty fluffy after using the cream though and the moisture was great too. It does not, however, offer a lot of hold –which is fine.

I’ve been sensitive to smells lately, so the scent was a big plus. Lightly scented, I couldn’t even really smell it after I put it on. The price is a bit of a put off at first, but I don’t have to use much to get the desired results. Also the ingredients, as to be expected from Qhemet products, are top notched.

Will I buy this again? More than likely
