Review:

First, let me comment on how great it is that everyone is putting “love” and such in their products now-a-days. Let’s hope we don’t run out of it.

Here is the product claim:

Excellent as a hair shampoo for all types.  All natural, leaves hair shiny, soft and very manageable.  A gentle shampoo, yet super lather, super clean and is pH balanced.  This shampoo loooves your hair.  Excellent for a body wash.  Great for your whole body, gentle, great cleansing, non-irritating, squeaky clean.  Very refreshing.  Excellent for bubble bath.  Bubbles, bubbles everywhere.  For you, the kids, great for everyone. Aw relax, feel good, rest and get clean.   Love that Tate’s~

I’d passed this by many times at my local health foods store, stopped a few times to read the back of the bottle and then put it back once again. One trip, I couldn’t find anything else of interest to buy so decided to satisfy my curiosity. It’s been sitting in the trunk of my car for weeks, totally forgotten until this past week.

It’s on the expensive side, but I really don’t think I paid as much as the website said. The store owner said that it’s pretty popular, so it’s never really been on clearance.  In general, I would say that’s way too much to pay for 8 oz when I can turn to my Castile Soap or another gentle cleanser instead. I got the price listed above from the company’s website, but I’ve found the above price for 18 oz in some other online spots, so perhaps it’s a typo. I’m not really sure. But I digress…

The bottle claims that you can use this as toothpaste. So, of course I tried it. It suds up well but it tasted just WRONG when I was brushing with it. Like when you were a little kid and ate something you weren’t supposed to.

The instructions also say that you can use it diluted when shampooing or as is. I did it as is to see just how gentle this stuff really was. It is surprisingly cleansing without stripping the hair. I also used it to wash my face and in my son’s bubble bath. Great results all around! Totally non drying. And it does indeed make great bubbles.

The price is still so much more than I would like though, but for sensitive or easily dry skin, I give this a thumbs up!
